In order to use SYLVA for creating, testing, deploying and launching questions authors need to meet the following system prerequisites:
Before you can start creating questions you need to install the SYLVA authoring tool CREO for Mathematica.
Please follow the instructions in this tutorial.
Once you have opened CREO navigate to Pearson Pilot 2020 -> Assessment.
Questions can be created, edited and saved in the assessment notebook. Recommended learning resources for authors are:
For testing questions and grading during the authoring process for each question a quick Preview is available. Make sure to save your work using the cloud button.
Once the setup of a question is completed authors may deploy questions to the Question Bank using the corresponding button in the gray question box.
After the deployment is successfully completed user get redirected to the Question Bank interface. Here the questions can be managed and launched.
By clicking Launcher several modifications such as the mode and other LTI parameters can be set.
Alternatively by clicking Preview, the question is launched with the default settings.
